Walk Cycle Study
Body mechanics study with a stylized rig, focused on weight, balance and rhythm.
The walk cycle is a technical base exercise, but it is essential for showing control. Alba uses it to study how weight travels through the body and how a stylized character can feel grounded.
The focus is on contacts, passing positions, hip rotation and the relationship between rhythm and personality. Even in a small loop, the animation has to avoid feeling mechanical.
This piece is useful for recruiters because it shows the fundamentals behind larger acting shots: timing, spacing, balance and clean animation decisions.
What this project shows
- Weight transfer between contacts
- Hip and shoulder counterbalance
- Loop continuity without visible jumps
