Two circular-format portraits exploring color temperature, intimacy and expressive light.
Sandra y Paula brings together two early oil portraits that helped Alba develop confidence with likeness, light and expressive color.
The two paintings work as a pair: one colder, nocturnal and introspective; the other warmer, direct and theatrical. Both use color temperature to create emotional atmosphere around the face.
For the portfolio, this project shows Alba's sensitivity to character before animation: pose, gaze, lighting and personality are already treated as narrative decisions.
